Autogenic training - relaxation in group

The ELTE Faculty of Education and Psychology Counseling Center organizes a 12 session autogenic training class for AUB students.

Autogenic training is a relaxation technique that is effective for a variety of stress-related conditions helping you to alleviate symptoms of stress. It teaches you to self-produce a feeling of warmth and heaviness throughout your body, thereby experiencing a profound state of physical relaxation, bodily health, and mental peace.  The technique involves the daily practice of sessions that last around 5-10 minutes.

Autogenic Training is recommended to help you to 

  • reduce anxiety
  • achieve deep relaxation
  • relieve stress
  • increase general confidence and well-being
  • increase energy and creativity
  • improve performance in sport, university
  • reduce the likelihood of serious illness in the future
  • naturally support our innate healing mechanisms.

The class will be held by Amina Lubani, clinical psychologist.

First session: End of September, 2017
Duration of sessions: 90 minutes every Tuesday or Thursday 
Location: ELTE, 4-6. Múzeum krt. Building D, room -117
Registration deadline: 12.00 pm, 18.09.2017.

Group details:

  • free participation
  • max. 10-12 individuals in the closed group
  • language: English or Hungarian

A motivational interview will be held before the start of the group sessions.
