Challenges and opportunities of digitalisation for women in management positions – supported by Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership
Project Description
Digitalization not only requires the acquisition of digital competencies, but also brings new working and learning models as well as innovative approaches to problem solving and decision making in companies that play a role at all management levels. DIGIGEN focuses on these challenges, but in particular on professional career counseling for women in leadership positions regarding digital competence development by HR professionals and career counselors. The project has a duration of three years and comprises five overarching work packages to achieve the project aims.
Project Core Aim
The core aim is developing, testing and evaluating a holistic and scientifically based continuing education program for HR professionals and career counselors. This includes didactic principles, modules and materials for conducting training through various and multi-based channels. Only appropriately qualified HR professionals and career counselors can provide professional career counseling for women in leadership positions in the area of digital competencies.

Our work package aims at creating profiles for digital competencies of women in leadership positions, which will be the starting point for the development of a qualification program for HR professionals and career advisors.

Project Results
Work Package 1 - Competence profiling, led by the AUB, was finished in the first quarter of 2023. Activities within this Work Package focused on reviewing existing literature on the topic of digital competence development for women in leadership positions and on conducting a needs analysis. The results are available below under the section "Documents".
