Automotive in Transition ConferenceHow will we get to the autonomous future?

Abstract: The digitalisation leads to the 4th industrial revolution and there are major changes in the car industry. Cars in the future will be connected, automated and electric. AI, Industry 4.0 and IoT offer new ways of producing cars. New disruptive suppliers appear with new products and business ideas. The Automotive industry has to adapt to this changing environment on all levels of the value chain. This conference will focus on the changing business models on the supplier side and we will try to answer the following questions: Do suppliers have to change their own business model? What is the impact of the electrification and the automatisation on the TIER 1 and TIER 2 suppliers? How does the changing production possibilities and AI affect the value chain? What can producing SMEs in Hungary do to profit from this changes?

Concept: The conference will be under the supervision of the Minster Palkovics (Ministry for Technology and Development) who initiated the AI platform to discuss and set-up a future governmental strategy with regard to the impact of AI on the Hungarian industry. The conference is focusing on the changes of the supplier side in the automotive industry and is divided into two blocks: First on the changing business model on suppliers’ side down the value chain and the second part on the main regulatory issues and developments in this changing environment. The presenters and the audience will exchange best practices.

Target audience: Automotive executives, business development experts, interested academics and enthusiasts, members of MI Koalíció

Duration and place of conference: The half day conference will be held in English and takes place at the Andrassy University in Budapest. Each presenter delivers a presentation of 15 minutes with 5 minutes Q&A session.

Our guest speakers come from the following institutes/ companies: Andrássy University Budapest, Bosch, CMS, Continental Automotive Hungary, UniCredit, SAP and Siemens Industry Software
