Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine, which began on 24 February 2022, has triggered a global „Zeitenwende“. Russia has not only attacked its sovereign neighbor, but has also deliberately attacked the world order based on the principles of the United Nations Charter. With Russia, there is no return to business as usual for Europeans. European security, at least in the long term, seems only possible against Russia and not in cooperation with Russia, as many had hoped in the past. European relations with Russia will of course depend on Russia's own international development. What Russia will look like after the war with Ukraine will of course also depend on the outcome of the war - which is still difficult to predict.

Relations with Russia will be just as important for Europeans in the future as they have been in the past. Therefore, it makes a lot of sense to discuss possible scenarios.

We are pleased to have Olga Oliker and András Rácz two renowned Russia experts as our guests, who will be happy to answer our questions after their presentations. We would like to thank the FES, which invites us to a coffee reception afterwards, for their renewed support.
