The German-language double master’s degree “Foreign Policy and Participation” provides the enrolled students with two degrees within four semesters. They will have the opportunity to obtain an MA in Political Science at the University of Wuppertal and an MA in International Relations at the Adrássy University Budapest.
The double master’s degree programme prepares the students in the field of politics and economy, such as working for political parties, for associations, international organisations, at the parliament or a representative’s office.
The program offers the students a specific vocational perspective for a career in the public service sector, at non-governmental organisations, in the diplomatic field or at policy advising institutions (think tanks). They will be particularly qualified for positions at shared interfaces between the fields of politics and economy such as lobbying and public relations.
The students taking part in the double master’s degree will be studying in an international atmosphere at Andrássy University Budapest and University of Wuppertal. As the programme is in incorporated in the general curricula at both universities, the intercultural atmosphere of the programme will be even more intensified.
The curriculum is designed so that students will study separately at both universities. They will spend their first two semesters at their home university and then spend their third semester at the partner university, before they return to their home university in the fourth semester to finish their studies. The thesis, however, is to be written at the partner university.
